Weekly Softball Pitcher and Catcher Clinics start March 13th
PBSF Softball Families,
We are pleased to announce the return of weekly pitcher and catcher clinics starting March 13th with support from PHS Head Coach Jen Deering and several star high school players.
What: Weekly clinics for PBSF players interested in developing their softball pitching or catching skills. Pitchers should bring someone to catch for them (can be a parent, sibling or friend).
Where: Witter softball field
When: Mondays beginning March 13th (weather permitting).
6:00-6:30 All 8U pitchers/catchers and new 10U pitchers/catchers.
6:30-7:00 Returning 10U pitchers/catchers and all 12/14U pitchers/catchers.
Who: Former PBSF players and current Piedmont High School varsity players Nicole Shoptaugh (junior) and Camille Creighton (sophomore) will be running simultaneous pitchers/catchers clinics this spring on Monday evenings at Witter. Nicole and Camille are great examples of what hard work and lots of practice at the youth level can result in. They are both WACC First Team All-League selections and both have been starters on varsity since their freshman seasons. Nicole will be coaching the pitchers at the clinic. She was extremely excited to do so because she remembers how important these same clinics were for her as a young pitcher, and she hopes to help make a difference for PBSF pitchers. Camille will be coaching the catchers and has already had success with private lessons for young catchers. Camille is a great leader and is one of the captains this season despite only being a sophomore. Your young pitchers and catchers will have a great experience learning from these amazing PHS athletes! Head Coach Jen Deering will be overseeing the program and helping to provide Camille and Nicole with helpful drills for all ages/experience levels.
Note that there will be a 12/14U team sharing the field on Mondays during the pitcher/catcher clinics. Please have your players be careful when entering/leaving the field for their sessions to be safe and not to disrupt the team practicing.
